Full steam ahead in Newcastle!

The historic city of Newcastle is known for many things; it’s home to the world’s largest coal exporting harbour, world champion surfers, the Marching Koalas, and now it’s the home of our newest TourismTouchscreen kiosk site.

The Newcastle Maritime Museum, located on the modern Lee Wharf, attracts visitors from all around Australia. Guests are free to wander the exhibits, detailing Newcastle’s vibrant history as a major port city. From shipwrecks to immigration, the Newcastle Maritime Museum covers an extensive range of topics in an engaging and interactive setting.

The new TourismTouchscreen is a perfect addition to the Maritime Museum, as visitors will be able to find local businesses and services, all at the touch of their finger. As the coastal gateway to the Hunter region, our new kiosk will tempt travellers to keep exploring – perhaps a Hunter Valley winery tour or weekend escape will be on the cards next?
