On September 20th our CEO, Paul Buckley, ran the Sydney Marathon in support of Lifeline Australia, fulfilling a personal ambition to complete a full marathon and raise money for a meaningful cause.
After months of training, Paul finished the gruelling 42km course, raising over $1500 dollars for Lifeline. The charity organisation provides essential crisis support and mental health awareness programs across Australia. Lifeline’s volunteer-run Telephone Crisis Support line is available 24/7 to take calls from people, who are in crisis or considering self-harm. With an average of one new call received every minute, every dollar raised helps keep their services running and
providing support to those in crisis.
Anyone can experience difficulties with mental health, and with local matters and accessible mental health services so near and dear to us, we are very pleased to have played a part in supporting their life saving work. We’re proud to see that the hard work has paid off for both the runners and the charities involved. Paul has achieved his own personal goal, all in support of a wonderful charity whose work helps so many throughout Australia. Well done to Paul and everyone who participated in the Sydney Marathon 2015!
Every voice is important and every dollar donated to Lifeline Australia helps support people in need in your community.
